LEVOIT CORE 200S DESIGN AND SIZE
The Levoit Core 200S’s mini design is its unique selling point, and it’s a welcome alternative for those who want a smaller Levoit Core 300, and who’ve looked on in dismay as Levoit has released ever-larger devices (but also don’t want the dated-looking design of the Levoit LV-H132).
It essentially mirrors the Core 300’s design, but in a smaller body that’s easier to cover a typical bedroom in the U.S, and despite the smaller size the air purifier still manages to pack a height of 12.6 inches (yes, it’s shorter than any other Levoit cylindrical models).
At 12.6 x 8.1 x 8.1 inch, it’s one of the smallest air purifiers made from this American manufacturer, just bigger than the portable Levoit LV-H128. It’s also light, without feeling too light at 6.6 lbs. You can easily bring the air purifier to anywhere in your home, but the Core 200S doesn’t feel cheap.
It may seem obvious, but if you’re looking for a small cylindrical air purifier and you hate to manually control it, the Levoit Core 200S is nearly an instant, besides the Blue Pure 411 Auto (which is slightly better in my opinion).

Levoit is pretty solid at keeping their air filtration method with 100% ozone-free, using simple but effective 3-stage air cleaning system.
- Pre-filter – This nylon pre-filter is able to capture large particles such as dust, lint, fibers, hair, and pet fur. You need to clean by vacuum this filter regularly because it is only effective for a short time.
- True HEPA filter – Levoit Core 200S uses a True HEPA Filter to reduce 99.97% of as small as 0.3 microns allergens, virus particles, pollen, and bacteria particles.

At less than $10 compared with the Levoit Core 300, Levoit doesn’t give us option to customize the air filter, yet. But at the core is still the highly efficient True HEPA filter which can clean your air of tiny contaminants.
The Levoit Core 200S is tested in the same conditions as its predecessors, in a room of 100 square feet and after 1 hour. This is also the test I made for some “more expensive” air purifiers like Winix A230, Okaysou AirMax8L or Core 300, but as you can see, the Core 200S performed pretty good at trapping 99.9% of all airborne contaminants as small as 0.3 microns.
The new and suitable air filter for this new model is Core 200-RF. You can get the genuine filter for only $19, and I recommend you to track the filter condition on your phone app. Normally, you need to change the fiilter every 6 – 8 months for optimal performance.
LEVOIT CORE 200S ROOM COVERAGE
Levoit Core 200S utilizes the better fan power than any of its predecessors. It is built for anyone who have smaller rooms than the Core 300, but want higher fan power than the rest of old models. Its effective room coverage is 183 square feet, suggested by the manufacturer.
The ACH of Levoit Core 200S is 5X. This Levoit Core 200S can clean a small room a lot better than the Vista 200, up to 5 times per hour.
The CADR of Levoit Core 200S is 118 cfm in general. Such performance is at least double the fan power of the old LV-H132.
